#1 Jones vs. #9 Teixeira gets moved to UFC 170

#1 Jon Jones and #2 Glover Teixeira was rumored to be fighting on the UFC 169 card but it's now been confirmed that both Jones and Teixeira will fight at UFC 170 on February 22nd. Jones is coming off his sixth successful title defense and has been newly crowned the most dominant UFC LH champion of all time. Teixeira is riding a 22 fight winning streak going into his title fight with LH champion Jones.

Varner out, #11 Healy now faces Green at UFC on Fox 9

An injury forces Jamie Varner out of his bout with #11 Pat Healy. In to replace him is Bobby Green. Green is coming off a controversial TKO win over James Krause which should have been declared a no-contest. Green hit Krause in the lower abdomen which should have still felt delicate considering Krause was hit low twice beforehand. Healy is coming off a decision loss to #10 Khabib Nurmagomedov. Both men will look to shed the last impression they both left in their previous trip to the octagon on December 14th on Fox.

#7 Nogueira injured, Gustafsson now faces Manuwa at UFC Fight Night 36

Jimi Manuwa steps in for an injured #7 Rogerio Nogueira and now gets the biggest fight of his career. #2 Alexander Gustafsson vs. Jimi Manuwa will take place in London on March 8th. Since joining the UFC, Manuwa has beaten Kyle Kingsbury, Cyrille Diabate and Ryan Jimmo while Gustafsson is coming off a gutsy 5 round war with #1 Jon Jones in a losing effort.

#7 Machida vs. Mousasi added to UFC Fight Night 35

#7 Lyoto Machida will welcome Gegard Mousasi back to the MW division. Just last month Machida made his MW debut knocking out #9 Mark Munoz in the first round. Now Machida gets a step up in competition in Mousasi who was ranked as high as #3 at MW with his memorable knockout win over #5 'Jacare' Souza. Now the both rather small LH's will now meet at MW and add even more depth to the weight class. The fight is scheduled to take place February 8th in Brazil. This fight wll most likely serve as the main event.
