- Fighters must fight within a year or have a fight confirmed within that year
- Fighters can only rank in one weight class
- Fighters who decide to change their weight class will still be ranked in their previous weight class until they have fought at their new weight class
- Since MMA judging is often unreliable, wins and losses will be determined by mmadecisions.com
- Fighters on quasi-retirement will be ineligible
- Suspended fighters are ineligible until they have fought one time since their suspension
- Any professional MMA fighter is eligible to ranked regardless of the organization they belong to
