With now former welterweight champion Georges St. Pierre relinquishing his title for a personal hiatus the UFC will crown a new welterweight champion March 15, 2014 in Dallas, TX. Whoever wins this fight will be the undisputed champion. This fight is not an interim title fight. Should St. Pierre return he will return as a challenger. Robbie Lawler has gone 3-0 since returning to welterweight most recently beating Rory MacDonald. Johny Hendricks fought to a controversial split decision loss to St. Pierre last November. They're expected to take the co main event slot right under Jones vs. Teixeira.
