Newly crowned lightweight champion #1 'Showtme' Pettis will make his first title defense opposite #4 TJ Grant as expected. Since losing to now featherweight Clay Guida, #1 Pettis has won his last 4 straight which includes his second win over #2 Ben Henderson to claim the lightweight title. Since dropping to 155, #4 Grant is yet to taste defeat. #4 Grant was originally scheduled to meet #2 Henderson for the title but a concussion in training forced him out of the title fight. Instead, #4 Grant will now face the new title holder #1 Pettis on December 14th live on Fox.
